Oliver’s story
Saved Because He Was Too Gentle For Hunting
Oliver’s mum is a Pointer girl from a village in Bosnia. She was not sterilised and sadly had puppies with a neighbour’s black Labrador. The hunter who owned her gave the puppies away, but kept Oliver to try him at hunting alongside his mum.
Oliver failed because he had no prey drive. He did not want to hunt, he only wanted to play. When the hunter decided to leave him tied to a tree in the forest, Oliver was saved by a vet who happened to visit at just the right moment.
Because of that, Oliver avoided a terrible end. Now he is safe in accommodation, waiting for the family who will love him for exactly who he is: a sweet, silly, playful young boy.
