How in the world could horse slaughter ever be stopped as long as humans continue to produce too many horses? Have you ever thought that is the real reason Congress has never really got their act together and passed our bill?
I don't believe anyone but a butcher could run the horses in a canyon and shoot them with an automatic rifle. There are no more homes especially for the undesirables. Rescues can't take them because they are full and lack funds to feed them all. Please donate your time or money to a rescue that dedicates to these poor souls that ended up at a kill lot because someone didn't want them anymore.

The rescues that come here were at their last chance to live. Most are from kill lots waiting for the slaughter truck to take them to a horrible death. We give them love, respect and rehab time to regain what they lost or had taken from them.
EQUINE LIVESTOCK BOARDING AVAILABLE
No frills, but loving care from everyone here.
Twice daily feed, fresh water and daily turn out when applicable. We can administer pharmaceutical treatments recommended by a vet, assistance with appointments with vet, farrier, transporter, etc. Nothing is too complicated. You won't find another facility that cares as much.
